Vashti was born and raised in the beautiful Huerfano Valley, a region that nurtured her love for nature, community, and service. As a dedicated educator, advocate, and small business owner, she channels her energy into creating opportunities for others to grow, explore, and find their vision in life. Her commitment to health equity, education, and outdoor recreation infuses everything she does.

She returned to Southern Colorado in 2020 after years of work in nonprofits, government, and as a coach. As a coach, Vashti helps people transform physically, emotionally, and spiritually, drawing from her healthcare journey to guide others. Her transformation began in 2015 when she fell off a cliff and needed to learn to walk again. She devoted herself to deep, holistic self-work—mentally, physically, and spiritually. She facilitates groups and works one-on-one with individuals to change their brains, thoughts, words, and actions. She wants people to find the spark to ignite their hearts and transform their lives and communities. 

Guided by a belief in the transformative power of healthcare, Vashti joined the board of La Clinica to help bring healthcare back to her community. In 2021, they began with foundational work to establish the legal and organizational structures needed to support La Clinica’s foundation so they can build and grow. 

Now, with a lifelong commitment to growth and healthcare, Vashti shares this work with others. She works with nonprofits in the community to create infrastructure to support the community’s beautiful culture, care, and love. She is inspired to help build a healthier, more equitable future for Huerfano County. Through her work on the board and as a provider at La Clinica, Vashti is dedicated to helping every community member create a sustainable path to health, resilience, and well-being.
