I grew up in Rhode Island, first coming to the Huerfano in 1990 where I fell in love with the landscape. I began to split my time between Gardner and Alaska while working seasonally across the west as a wildland firefighter for the BLM/Alaska Fire Service. I retired from firefighting in 2015 and have lived full time in Gardner since and enjoy recreating in the Sangre de Cristos and Wet Mountains.  I joined the board of La Clinica hoping to contribute to its long history of helping the community and community service.
